about

{ENG, french below}

The three pieces of this release are the first recordings by the duo of Bertrand Denzler on tenor saxophone and Léo Dupleix on electronics, vibrating speaker and floor tom. The two musicians work together since 2017.

The first piece, «Plateaux», is a collaborative composition that meticulously explores three low notes of the saxophone and their interactions with a twin, a digital organ vibrating on a stretched membrane.

«Positif» and «Tessiture» are propositions from each of the members of the duo. They both work on the range of the saxophone, considered as a possible path in the first one and as a block with a shifting thickness in the second one.

An exploration of a living sound matter made of sustained tones, the three pieces form a triptych of changing spaces in which the listener is invited to dive in.

{FRA}
